Karin Hernmarck

All my life I have been fascinated by languages but it was only after spending a year abroad that I appreciated the beauty of my mother-tongue. This was the beginning of my passion for teaching German as a foreign language, so that others could share this appreciation. The opening of A-Z Deutsch allows me to put into practice my extensive experience in language teaching - accredited by Goethe Institut - in its special atmosphere of relaxed learning. Do I believe in afterlife without teaching German? I am not sure .....

I have been totally committed to teaching German as a foreign language since the beginning of my teaching career 17 years ago. Meeting students from so many countries and cultures and helping them to develop their command of the German language and a deeper understanding of German culture and history is of great importance to me.The relaxed and friendly atmosphere we have created in A-Z Deutsch has helped me to put into practice the best principals of foreign language teaching and to use the techniques learned throughout my professional career.

I have had the good fortune in my life to realize many of my professional dreams but after working in universities and being head of the language department in an adult education centre for many years there was still something else that I wanted to do .... to establish a German language school, using the skills and experience gained in all my years of teaching English and German. A school for German with a clear and special profile where quality of teaching, a relaxed and ethical approach to learning and a student community from all over the world could combine to create a special learning environment.

A-Z Deutsch is that school.
